What Happens You Break Your Only Plate?

I admire those bloggers who are able to 'stick with it' and keep things updated - I would consider myself a better person if I was more like that.

Anyway, I have some updates to share. I should mention that these updates will likely provide little interest to anyone who happens to read them. The reason for this is that my days in Oslo as of late have consisted of me sitting in my room, splitting my time almost equally between studying and the internet. I also happen to eat every now and then. Since returning from Den Hagg last week, I've been 'buckling down' and trying my best to make up for lost time on the academic front - it's important to remember that I'm here on an 'academic exchange' and not just a four month extended holiday, regardless of how things may seem.

I mentioned above that I had been in Den Hagg recently (I used to call it The Hague, but Den Hagg is so much more authentic, and real). In between Den Hagg and Oslo, I spent a day with Ross and Grace in Brussels. These photos summarize my time there fairly well:

Here's the Oslo I came back to (It's much worse than it looks, and the weather lately has improved):

Since I've returned, as mentioned above, I've been sitting here in my room, reading. I've also managed to break my one and only plate:

Thankfully, I was able to convert my cutting board into a temporary eating surface. I owe this new-found resourcefulness to the constant reruns of MacGyver, shown every day on Norwegian television.

In other news, we had some maintenance people in the 'house' the other day, taking care of our bathroom issues. These issues included, among others, missing shower tiles and mold on the walls. The tiles were replaced, and the mold was painted over. Perfect! Here's the handy work:

And that's about it. First exam of the semester is tomorrow. Comparative Law. It will be interesting.
