I’m sitting on the plane right now, about twenty minutes into the flight. I have just inflated my portable neck pillow. I’m listening to a compilation CD that begins with Baby Baby and ends with P.Y.T. A strange smell is filling the cabin and I can only hope that it’s airplane food.
The food is on a cart about four feet away from me. From where I’m sitting, it appears that the choice will be between beef and chicken - who would have guessed? I would have!

It’s 8:40pm Calgary time, which means I’ve been in the air for close to an hour. I’m still wondering why I’m here, but I know it will all work out in the end. I’m really tired, so I’m going to try to sleep for a bit - any excuse to put this inflatable pillow to the test.

It’s now 2:30am Calgary time. I think that I slept for almost five hours, which I consider to be pretty good, although I’m still very tired. Breakfast was alright, but I was really hoping for scrambled eggs. It seems like the popular movie at the moment is The Time Machine, from 2002. I was just considering changing my watch to reflect London/Oslo time, but for some reason I chose not to. This flight should be ending fairly soon. I’ll keep updating along the way.

2:53 Calgary time. We’re now descending into London.

11:54 London Time (look at the clock if you don’t believe me). I’ve made the switch from Calgary to London. I’ve just had an English Breakfast in Heathrow after being turned away from the Air Canada Lounge. I’m pretty sure that they wouldn’t have had English Breakfasts in the Lounge. I just heard an announcement that boarding has begun for a flight back to Calgary. I’m happy here. Boarding for Oslo will begin in about 30 minutes.

2:50 pm Oslo Time. It’s 6:50 am in Calgary, so I suppose family and friends are starting to wake up and get ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great day.
I’m sitting in Seat 09F, right behind a sign that says Economy, somewhere over the North Sea. I’ve read through the airline magazine and picked out a few ‘attractions’ that I hope to see over the next few months. Things are going well so far. The Norwegian water that I just purchased for 20NKr tastes a lot like the water in Canada.
